Young string players: Want to apply to the Kessler Academy? Click here.

The Kessler Academy was established to give young string players an intensive, professional experience of preparing and performing a challenging and inspiring string orchestra concert.

The initiative, led by the Microcosmos Quartet, is in its tenth consecutive year. It promises a transformative journey of musical growth, collaboration, and mentorship for the next generation of talented musicians.

The Kessler Academy is named in honour of the late Susan Kessler. Susan, her family, and friends helped bring this initiative to life in 2015 as part of the celebrations of Susan’s 100th birthday.

Following a week-long mentorship program of consecutive days of intensive rehearsals, emerging string professionals and advanced students take the stage to perform classical works for string orchestra. Their annual summer concert is your opportunity to be a part of the musical journey of these young artists and be a immerse yourself in truly inspiring performances.

Come support the stars of tomorrow and witness the blossoming of young classical music talent!

This concert is generously supported by the Deux Mille Foundation.
