What mattered most… was the sense that a solitary voice had fostered an original world.
Alex Ross, The New Yorker
Gabriel Kahane’s music is emotionally intricate, honest, and compelling. He’s a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a quirky pop sensibility, and he embraces music both old and new with an unabashed sense of humour.
Since his Canadian debut with Music on Main in 2010, Gabriel has toured with the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Blake Mills, and the Punch Brothers. His latest solo concert is an evening featuring original compositions along with an intimate, modern performance of Robert Schumann’s gorgeous songs from Dichterliebe (“A Poet’s Love”). Don’t miss it!
