Since winning First Prize at the 2010 Banff International String Quartet Competition, the Cecilia String Quartet has taken the music world by storm.
They’ve performed with musical legends around the world and signed a multi-CD deal with ANALEKTA, releasing sensational recordings of music by Dvořák, Janáček, Berg, and Webern. In addition to winning a Galaxie Rising Stars Award, they’re the Ensemble-in-Residence at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music, and winners of the 2013 John Lad Prize, awarded to them by the St Lawrence String Quartet.
Hearing the Cecilia String Quartet live in concert is to witness a stunning spirit of creativity that celebrates risk-taking and discovery.
Don’t miss it when they close the 2014 Modulus Festival with a moving concert of music by Franz Schubert and Felix Mendelssohn.
The 2014 Modulus Festival is generously sponsored by Bryan Price.
