Ready to kick start your career?

Emerge on Main is a new programme to help launch the careers of musicians who perform classical, new, and genre-bending music.  Applicants must:

• have completed their basic professional training
• have yet to establish a significant professional career
• be 18 years or older (there's no maximum age)
• be a permanent resident of British Columbia

Below, you'll find the application form for Emerge on Main.

Before you submit this form, there are a few things you'll need to do:

• Post two to three videos of you performing on YouTube.  Put your best foot forward by ensuring that your finest performance is the first video you list on the application form.  Be sure to start your video description on YouTube with "Emerge on Main," and include your name, the name of the piece, the name of the composer, and the date of the composition.  You'll need to include this information, as well as the link to the video on YouTube, in the application, too.  Please note: At least one piece must have been written during your lifetime. See the FAQs for more information on posting your videos. 
• Email two letters of recommendation to emerge@musiconmain.ca.  All applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from music professionals that tell us why you're ready to embark on a professional career.
• Prepare your 300-word bio and your answers to the four questions.  The word count in each section is limited to 300 words, and the form won't let you go over that limit.  Check your work before submitting it!
