Soprano Heather Pawsey, clarinettist AK Coope, and pianist/composer Leslie Uyeda are musicians particularly noted for their brilliant musicality and fearlessly innovative approaches to contemporary music. Highlighting this evening is the world premiere of The Sex Lives of Vegetables, five songs for soprano, clarinet and piano by Leslie Uyeda, based on poetry by Lorna Crozier.  (The poet herself will read about those frisky carrots and prudish peas, too.)  This exceptional evening of song and poetry will also feature works by Francis Poulenc, Franz Lachner, Clifford Crawley, and many others.
